Supportive foot is a condition that occurs in some horses, causing them to be lame for a while. Also called pyramidal disease, a brace causes pain and swelling at the front of the coronary band – the part of the leg where hoof growth begins.. With a careful examination of the foot, your vet should be able to easily diagnose the supportive foot.
